Belarusian Rubel Depreciates Against Major Currencies

The Belarusian rubel has depreciated against several major currencies at the Belarusian Currency and Stock Exchange (BCSE), according to data released on September 24. The rubel's value fell to 3.0316 against the US dollar, a decline from previous weeks' gains. It also dropped to 3.448 per euro and to 4.5305 per 10 yuan. In contrast, it appreciated to 3.5843 per 100 Russian rubles.

Last week, the rubel had gained 0.15 percent against the dollar, but this gain was reversed in the latest data. The Belarusian currency has lost 4.72 percent of its value against the dollar over the first eight months of 2026.
