Belarusian Rubel Depreciates Against Major Currencies at BCSE

The Belarusian rubel has continued its decline against major currencies at the Belarusian Currency and Stock Exchange (BCSE). As of August 6, it depreciated to 2.9386 against the US dollar.

Against the euro, the rubel dropped to 3.391 per unit, while against the yuan, it fell to 4.3906 for every 10 units. However, there was a slight increase in value against the Russian ruble, reaching 3.6365 per 100 units.

Looking at the weekly performance, from July 27-31, the rubel weakened by 0.88 percent against the dollar, 2.13 percent against the euro, and 1.34 percent against the yuan, but rose by 0.64 percent against the Russian ruble.

In the first seven months of this year, the Belarusian currency has lost 0.37 percent in value against the dollar.
