Belarusian Rubel Strengthens Against Key Currencies in Late September
The Belarusian rubel has strengthened its position against several major currencies in the final days of September. At the Belarusian Currency and Stock Exchange (BCSE), the rubel is now valued at 3.0207 against the US dollar, a welcome shift for investors.
Against the euro, the rubel has also gained ground, reaching 3.42 per euro, while its value relative to the Chinese yuan stands at 4.5117 per 10 yuan. However, it's worth noting that the rubel has weakened against the Russian ruble, trading at 3.5962 per 100 Russian rubles.
Looking back on the past week (September 21-25), the rubel experienced a mixed performance, losing 0.14 percent against the dollar but gaining 0.1 percent against the yuan and 0.77 percent against the euro. Against the Russian ruble, it gained 0.12 percent.
Notably, over the first eight months of 2026, the rubel has lost 4.72 percent against the dollar.
