Belarusian rubel weakens against major currencies on October 5
The Belarusian rubel weakened against major currencies at the Belarusian Currency and Stock Exchange (BCSE) on October 5. It fell to 3.0371 against the US dollar, 3.3971 per euro, and 4.5438 per 10 yuan. However, it gained ground against the Russian ruble, climbing to 3.6032 per 100 Russian rubles.
Last week, the rubel showed mixed performance. It gained 0.67% against the dollar, 0.14% against the yuan, and 1.75% against the euro. However, it lost 0.59% against the Russian ruble.
Over the first nine months of 2026, the Belarusian currency has lost 4.33% against the US dollar. This trend reflects ongoing economic challenges and currency fluctuations in the region.
