Bitcoin Holds Steady as US PCE Inflation Cools
Bitcoin's price remained relatively steady on Thursday, despite a rebound in US equities and lower inflation numbers.
The June Personal Consumption Expenditures (PCE) inflation report showed a year-on-year rate of 3.7%, matching market expectations and ending a short-term uptrend in the data.
However, commentators cautioned that the number is still above the Federal Reserve's 2% target, keeping the debate about the inflation path alive.
Matt Hougan, Chief Investment Officer at Bitwise, argued that future interest-rate moves may be smaller, potentially reducing how strongly BTC reacts to rate headlines.
