Bitcoin Recovers from Inflation Dip as US CPI Holds Steady

The recent US inflation report showed that prices rose by 0.4% in August, higher than July's 0.1% increase. The Consumer Price Index (CPI) remained at 3.4% year-on-year, slightly above the Federal Reserve's target.

BTC initially dipped to around $76,000 after the report was released, but quickly recovered and traded above $77,100 at the time of writing. This shows that some traders were expecting a more significant impact from the inflation news on interest rates.

Ethereum (ETH) led the market with a 3.2% gain, trading in a range near $2,543. Other altcoins like Solana (SOL), BNB, and XRP also saw moderate gains, while Dogecoin's increase was relatively small at 0.5%. This suggests that the crypto market is more resilient to inflation news than expected.
