Bitcoin Suisse Axes Half of Swiss Workforce in Global Expansion Push
Swiss cryptocurrency firm Bitcoin Suisse is undergoing significant restructuring, cutting up to half of its workforce at its Zug headquarters. The company plans to relocate a substantial portion of its back-office and administrative operations from Switzerland to lower-cost hubs in Bratislava, Slovakia, and Vietnam.
The move aims to transform the firm into an international asset management provider catering to wealthy private clients, family offices, and institutional investors. CEO Andrej Majcen emphasized that this decision is driven by a long-term strategy rather than market volatility.
Bitcoin Suisse has secured several international licenses this year, including a MiCAR license for its Liechtenstein subsidiary, allowing it to operate across the European Economic Area via regulatory passporting.
