BoC Keeps Rates Steady, CAD Holds Firm
The Canadian dollar held steady on Wednesday morning after the Bank of Canada announced it would keep its overnight interest rate at 2.25 per cent annually.
The CAD/USD exchange rate remained unchanged from Tuesday's close, with one US dollar equivalent to approximately C$1.4063.
On the other hand, the U.S. Dollar Index dipped slightly, down by 0.061 of a point at 100.650.
The TSX/S&P Composite Index also saw an increase, rising by 40.18 points to reach 35,360.72.
