BoE Details New Benchmark Issuance Plan for Foreign Currency Reserves
The Bank of England has published its Foreign Currency Reserves 2026 Market Notice on September 22, 2026. This notice is part of the bank's efforts to support its policy objectives through foreign exchange reserves separate from those managed by the Government.
In a move announced last year, the Bank of England will shift to targeting two benchmark issuances annually to finance its foreign exchange reserves with a regular timetable and high transparency. The FCA/ICMA stabilisation applies, and the manufacturer target market is ECP/Professionals only.
