BOE Governor Sounds Alarm on AI Boom Market Shocks
Bank of England Governor Andrew Bailey has sounded an alarm about the potential for market shocks triggered by a correction in the artificial intelligence (AI) boom. According to Bailey, the central bank is closely watching the rapid influx of money into AI, which has led to skyrocketing asset prices.
‘Everybody is currently priced to be a winner,’ Bailey told the BBC in an interview broadcast on October 1, 2026. ‘You look back at the past, not everybody is a winner.’
