BOE Hints at Future Rate Hike Amid Iran War Inflation Fears
The Bank of England has decided to keep interest rates unchanged, but hinted that it may increase them soon to combat inflationary pressures resulting from the Iran war.
Thursday's decision was widely anticipated, with six members of the Monetary Policy Committee voting to maintain current rates while three others backed a quarter-point increase to 4%.
The move is seen as a cautious approach by the central bank to balance economic growth and inflation control in the wake of the ongoing conflict in Iran.
