The Bank of England (BoE) maintained its Bank Rate at 3.75%, as anticipated by market analysts, in a decision made by a 6-3 vote. This outcome was largely expected due to recent comments from BoE member Mann. The central bank presented three economic scenarios in their monetary policy report.

The most central projection assumes moderate energy prices and considers the possibility of second-round effects on inflation. According to this scenario, CPI inflation is predicted to reach 2.6% one year ahead, which is lower than all previous projections made in April.

GDP growth has been stronger than anticipated, while the unemployment rate has decreased, leading the BoE to conclude that the UK economy is performing better than expected. The central projection also incorporates two interest rate hikes, aligning with market expectations.
