BOE Holds Rates, Three Committee Members Push for Hike
The Bank of England kept the UK's main interest rate unchanged at 3.75% on Thursday, despite rising inflation.
According to reports, six members of the Monetary Policy Committee voted to keep rates unchanged, while three backed a quarter-point increase to 4%.
The decision was widely anticipated due to the ongoing impact of the Iran war on fuel prices in the UK, which has pushed up inflation to its highest level in five months.
