BOE Survey Firms Expect Unchanged Inflation Amid Slowing US Jobs Growth
The Bank of England's September 2026 Decision Maker Panel survey found that firms reported unchanged annual own-price growth at 3.7% in the three months to September, matching August's figure.
Firms also expected year-ahead own-price inflation to be 3.7%, a decrease of 0.1 percentage points from August's forecast.
In contrast, US labor market data released last week showed a disappointing jobs report, with nonfarm payrolls increasing by only 29,000 in September, below the expected 84,000.
