BOJ Votes to Maintain Key Interest Rate at 1.25 Percent
The Bank of Japan's (BOJ) Policy Board met today and decided to set a guideline for money market operations, encouraging the uncollateralized overnight call rate to remain at around 1.25 percent.
This decision was made by a 7-2 majority vote, with seven board members in favor and two opposed.
The BOJ also changed the interest rates applied to its measures, including the complementary deposit facility, as part of this change.
