British Pound Plummets as Rupee Reaches Unprecedented Streak
The British Pound has been experiencing significant drops against various currencies, and it's now predicted to potentially fall below Rs. 370 if energy commodity aftershocks persist in Europe and the Gulf. This is according to a day trader who spoke with ProPakistani.
Despite this, the Pakistani rupee (PKR) has been steadily gaining against major currencies, including the US Dollar (USD), Euro (EUR), Australian Dollar (AUD), and Canadian Dollar (CAD). The PKR closed at 277.26, having gained one paisa against the USD.
The British Pound (GBP) dropped by Rs. 2 against the rupee, closing at 371.1030. The rupee has been reporting gains against the dollar since December 25, 2025, with today marking its 242nd consecutive day in green.
