British Pound Plummets Over 2.5% from August High
The British Pound has plummeted over 2.5% from its August high, breaking the June uptrend and pushing sterling below the 200-day moving average for the first time since July.
The decline has been a four-week streak, with the September opening-range break driving price lower. Daily momentum is showing possible divergence on the latest drop, highlighting the risk of near-term exhaustion.
A break below the May swing low at 1.3302 would strengthen the case for another leg lower, while a recovery through near-term resistance would begin to ease immediate downside pressure.
