Bulgaria's Inflation Rate Slows to 4.4%, Remains Third-Highest in Euro Area
Annual inflation in Bulgaria has slowed to 4.4% in July, down from 5.2% in June and 6.3% in May, according to revised Eurostat data.
Bulgaria remains tied with Cyprus for the third-highest rate of inflation in the euro area, behind Romania at 8.2% and Lithuania at 5.4%. The lowest rates were recorded in Sweden (0.3%), Czechia (1.3%), Denmark and Hungary (both 1.6%).
The euro area annual inflation rate was 2.9% in July, up from 2.8% in June.
