Business Leaders Share Insights on UK Economy at Lancaster Meeting

The Lancaster & Morecambe Chamber of Commerce hosted a business meeting in Lancaster to discuss the UK economy and its challenges. The event brought together Chamber Ambassadors, Board Members, and business representatives from across the district to share their experiences and insights on key issues such as interest rates, inflation, and recruitment challenges.

The discussion was facilitated by Ken Clark, agent for the North West at the Bank of England, who emphasized the importance of gathering real-world evidence from businesses to inform monetary policy decisions. The Chamber's CEO, Graham White, noted that the event gave local business leaders a genuine opportunity to influence national economic thinking and share their experiences directly with the Bank of England.
