CAD/INR Tumbles Amid Record Rupee Liquidity Boost
Indian banks attracted a record $127 billion in foreign currency non-resident deposits between June 8 and August 31, 2026, strengthening rupee liquidity.
The influx of foreign currency deposits has increased access to hard currency and supported market stability. The Indian rupee also benefited from a pullback in crude oil prices and positive domestic market sentiment.
CAD/INR is trading at ₹67.9412 after a modest intraday decline, closing near the daily low. The pair remains below its key moving averages, reflecting persistent downward pressure.
The technical signals favor further downside toward ₹67.6015 to ₹68.2809 in the near term, with bearish momentum as CAD/INR hits oversold indicators.
