Calian Leads Canadian Space Economy with 7.2% Gain
Calian Group led the pack in a mixed week for Canada's space economy, rising by 7.2% to $78.29 and bringing its year-to-date gain to 42.5%. The Ottawa-based company has seen several analyst price-target increases, with RBC Capital raising its target to $105 from $90, and CIBC's Stephanie Price increasing her target to $107 while maintaining an Outperformer rating.
Telesat followed closely behind, gaining 4.2% to $62.14, bringing its year-to-date gain to 57%. MDA Space also saw a significant increase, rising by 1.8% to $40.84 and adding to its year-to-date gain of 53.3%
Not all companies performed well, however: Maritime Launch Services fell by 3.5% to 41 cents, after giving itself an extended deadline until September 15 to finish the statement of work for a dedicated launch complex at Spaceport Nova Scotia.
