Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney and French President Emmanuel Macron have strengthened their countries' partnership by pledging to work together in space infrastructure, business, and economic growth.

During a meeting on Sunday in Saint-Pierre-et-Miquelon, a French territory off the southern coast of Newfoundland, the leaders announced plans to develop common infrastructure, including space launch systems and ground-based reception facilities.

The Canadian and French chambers of commerce will also sign an agreement in the coming weeks, bringing their business communities closer together and expanding ties in economic growth, energy transition, and climate resilience.
