Canada Jobs Market Surges Despite US Tariffs

Canada's economy showed signs of recovery in July as it added 75,000 jobs, bringing the unemployment rate down to 6.4 percent - its lowest level in two years.

The job growth far exceeded analyst expectations, which forecasted roughly 20,000 new jobs.

Hiring was split between full-time and part-time work and spread across various industries, including finance and construction.

According to TD Bank, the labour market is showing clear signs of recovery, with unemployment expected to continue nudging downward through the rest of the year.
