Canada Secures $500 Billion in New Investments Amid Trade War
The Canada Investment Summit, held on September 14 and 15 in Toronto, brought together investors from nearly 30 countries to strengthen the Canadian economy during the ongoing trade war with the U.S. and catalyze $1 trillion in investment over five years.
Hosted by the federal government in partnership with Canada Pension Plan Investment Board (CPP Investments) and Public Sector Pension Investment Board (PSP Investments), the Summit attracted investors managing more than $100 trillion in assets, resulting in nearly $500 billion in new investment commitments to Canada.
The investments are expected to turbo charge the Canadian clean economy. The prospectus for Canada Investment Summit 2026 contains 167 investment opportunities, including 31 projects in its 'Clean Energy' chapter and several other clean economy initiatives.
