Canada Unveils $1 Billion Farm Credit Program for Food Security
The Canadian government has announced a farm credit to strengthen food security and grow the economy. This comes as the world grapples with rapid changes, including trade shifts, global conflict, and climate change, putting pressure on food security systems.
To address this, Canada is building its strength at home and diversifying partnerships abroad, creating new opportunities for long-term growth and investment. The government has launched Farm Credit Canada's (FCC) $1 billion Agri-food Project Finance Fund and a $150 million allocation to Velocity Agritech Inc.
