Canadian Dollar Tumbles as Crude Oil Prices Decline Amid Iran-US Talks

The Canadian dollar closed out the week on a low note, losing 0.72 of a US cent during the period.

It finished at US$0.7070 or US$1=C$1.4145 on Friday compared to US$0.7074 or US$1=US$1.4136 on Thursday.

The United States Dollar Index also fell, down 0.27 of a point at 101.02.

Crude oil prices declined as the markets wait for news from talks between the U.S. and Iran to end their war.

West Texas Intermediate dropped US$1.91 per barrel at US$92.70, while Brent crude oil declined US$1.94/barrel at US$104.66.
