Canadians Flock to Downtown Las Vegas Amid Trade Tensions

Amidst heightened trade tensions between the U.S. and Canada, Circa, the D, and Golden Gate casinos in downtown Las Vegas successfully lured over 120,000 Canadian tourists through a limited-time promotion.

The 'At Par' deal allowed every Canadian dollar to be spent like a U.S. dollar at the three casinos, generating more than $20 million in slot coin-in and over 8,000 hotel room nights between January and August this year.

This represents an 80% increase from last year's Canadian visitor numbers, according to co-owner Derek Stevens.

Stevens noted that the promotion not only boosted revenue but also helped fill hotel rooms at a rate more than double what they normally experience during peak periods.
