Canola Futures Slide Amid Mixed Oil Sentiment
The Intercontinental Exchange's (ICE) canola futures market took a hit on Thursday morning, with prices falling amid mixed sentiment in comparable oils.
No trading occurred on Wednesday due to the National Day For Truth and Reconciliation, but when markets reopened, crude oil prices were rising on reports that China will not export fuel in October. This development had a positive impact on European rapeseed, which was higher for the day.
However, other oils were down, including Chicago soyoil and Malaysian palm oil. The Canadian dollar also declined by one-quarter of a U.S. cent from Tuesday's close.
