Casio has expanded its G-Shock lineup with five new models in the GMC-2500 series, unveiled on October 22, 2026. The watches, available in both stainless-steel and resin strap options, feature an analogue display, shock-resistant minute hand, stopwatch, and 200-metre water resistance. Prices in Japan range from 37,400 yen (approx. Rs. 22,600) to 49,500 yen (around Rs. 30,000), with availability set for November 2026.
The GMC-2500 series includes five distinct models, each with unique dial colours and strap materials. The stainless-steel variants, GMC-2500D-1A and GMC-2500D-1A2, feature black and blue dials, respectively. The resin strap models include the black-dial GMC-2500-1A, silver-dial GMC-2500-1A8, and gold GMC-2500G-9A, which boasts a gold ion-plated bezel. All models are inspired by the original G-Shock DW-5000C but with a rounded case and analogue dial.
Key features of the GMC-2500 series include Casio's Shock Release Hand mechanism, which protects the minute hand during impacts, and a hand-shift function for easy viewing of the display. Other specifications include a full auto-calendar until 2099, a stopwatch with one-second increments, and an amber LED light with afterglow. The watches measure 46.7 × 43.8 × 12.9 mm and offer ±15 seconds of monthly accuracy.
In Japan, the GMC-2500-1A and GMC-2500-1A8 are priced at 37,400 yen each, while the gold GMC-2500G-9A costs 39,600 yen (around Rs. 24,000). The stainless-steel models, GMC-2500D-1A and GMC-2500D-1A2, are priced at 49,500 yen each. While the watches will be available in Japan in November 2026, Casio has not yet announced pricing and launch dates for India.
