CBA Raises Home Loan Rates Amid RBA Cash Rate Hike
The Reserve Bank of Australia (RBA) has increased the official cash rate by 0.25% per annum, prompting Commonwealth Bank (CBA) to raise its home loan variable interest rates by the same amount.
CBA's Group Executive Retail Banking, Angus Sullivan, said the decision comes amid persistent inflation and global uncertainty, putting pressure on the broader economy.
'Each customer's circumstances are different,' Sullivan noted. 'Our teams are ready to provide support, help them understand their options and consider what might work best for their situation.'
