The Reserve Bank of Australia (RBA) has increased the official cash rate by 0.25% per annum, prompting Commonwealth Bank (CBA) to raise interest rates on eligible variable-rate business loans.

CBA's Group Executive Business Banking, Mike Vacy-Lyle, stated that the bank remains focused on supporting customers in navigating uncertain operating conditions.

The rate change will apply to various base rates and lending products, including BetterBusiness Loans and Business Overdrafts, effective 9 October 2026. This move aims to help CBA's business customers cope with inflationary pressures and higher operating costs.
