Cedi Depreciates Slightly Against US Dollar on September 7

The Ghanaian Cedi has depreciated slightly against the US dollar on Monday, September 7, 2026. The average buying rate is GHS11.50, a one pesewa decline from Friday's rates.

The selling rate is GHS11.91, also down by a single pesewa compared to Friday. At forex bureaus, the Cedi trades at GHS11.75 for dollar purchases and GHS12.15 for sales.

The Bank of Ghana's interbank market saw the cedi trade at GHS11.39 for buying and GHS11.41 on selling rates. For the British pound, the average forex bureau rate is GHS15.25 for buying and GHS16.28 for selling.
