Cedi Holds Firm Against Dollar Despite Slight Fluctuations

The Ghanaian Cedi has maintained its stability in value against the US dollar on Tuesday, September 1, 2026. According to data from Cedirates.com, a reliable platform tracking currency and fuel rates, the average buying rate for the dollar is GHS11.47, while the selling rate is GHS11.92, similar to the previous day's rates.

At forex bureaus, the Cedi trades at GHS11.75 for dollar purchases and GHS12.20 for sales. On the Bank of Ghana interbank market, the cedi is valued at GHS11.24 for buying and GHS11.26 on selling rates.

The British pound is trading at GHS15.20 for buying and GHS16.23 for selling at forex bureaus, while the Bank of Ghana's interbank rate stands at GHS15.25. The Euro is also stable, with an average forex bureau rate of GHS13.01 for buying and GHS13.94 for selling.
