Cedi Loses Ground Against Major Currencies in Latest BoG Rates
The Ghanaian cedi continues to weaken against major currencies according to the latest Bank of Ghana (BoG) reference rates published on September 11, 2026.
The US dollar strengthened by GH¢0.0150 on both buying and selling rates, rising from GH¢11.4457 to GH¢11.4607 for selling, and from GH¢11.4343 to GH¢11.4493 for buying.
This marks a further decline in the cedi's value against the US currency, with the dollar now trading above the GH¢11.45 mark on the selling side.
