Cedi Shows Mixed Results in Latest Exchange Rates

The Ghanaian cedi has shown mixed results in its exchange rates against major international currencies. According to the Bank of Ghana's latest figures, the cedi strengthened against both the pound sterling and euro but weakened against the US dollar on September 23.

The US dollar is now selling at GH¢11.5763, an increase of GH¢0.0205 from its previous rate. In contrast, the pound sterling saw a decline in its buying and selling rates, with the cedi being bought at GH¢15.4077 and sold at GH¢15.4231.

The euro also weakened against the cedi, with a drop in both the buying and selling rates. The latest exchange rates are based on average interbank rates used by commercial banks for transactions at the close of business on September 22.
