On Thursday, August 27, Ukraine's Central Bank announced a modest adjustment to its official exchange rates. The US dollar and euro saw slight declines, with the dollar falling by 10 kopecks and the euro decreasing by 8 kopecks compared to Wednesday's rates.

The National Bank of Ukraine set the new official exchange rates at UAH 44.57 per dollar and UAH 52.00 per euro for August 27. A day earlier, these rates were UAH 44.67 for the dollar and UAH 52.08 for the euro.

However, a closer look at data from banks, exchange offices, and card providers reveals that the actual currency rates vary significantly. For example, on average, banks offered between UAH 44.42 and UAH 44.87 per dollar, while exchange offices quoted rates between UAH 44.68 and UAH 44.78.

The government's draft state budget for 2026 estimates an average annual exchange rate of UAH 45.6 per dollar, which is used for budget calculations throughout the year.
