Christchurch to Host BEIA Conference Ahead of New Zealand General Election
Christchurch is gearing up to host the Business Events Industry Aotearoa (BEIA) annual conference, which will bring together business events professionals from across New Zealand. The conference, scheduled for October 27-29, coincides with the country's General Election on November 7.
According to BEIA chief executive Lisa Hopkins, the conference comes at a timely moment when the country is evaluating its priorities and recognizing the strategic economic and intellectual value of the business events sector. 'In the lead up to the election, we will be talking about the vital role business events play in growing a more productive, innovative and internationally connected economy,' she said.
The conference will feature insights into the current economic landscape from economist Brad Olsen, sponsored by Celebrity Speakers NZ. Delegates will also explore emerging international trends and discuss how to boost regional dispersal of business events. Additionally, a panel will focus on attracting and retaining talent in the sector for the future.
