CIBC Reports Q3 Growth Figures Amid Cautious Analyst Outlook
The Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce (CIBC) reported its Q3 growth figures, showing diluted EPS of CAD 2.47 and revenue reaching CAD 8.4 billion for the quarter ended July 31, 2026.
According to CIBC's investor fact sheet, net income was CAD 2.4 billion and return on equity was 15.2 percent. Adjusted net income was CAD 2.6 billion, adjusted diluted EPS was CAD 2.73, and adjusted return on equity was 16.8 percent.
The figures indicate a decline of CAD 0.06 or 2.37 percent in reported diluted EPS compared to the previous quarter.
Analysts remain cautious, with 12 analysts holding a consensus rating of Hold, including seven Hold ratings and five Buy ratings. The average 12-month price target was CAD 167.79, although TD raised its target to CAD 175.00 and Royal Bank of Canada increased its target to CAD 176.00 in August.
The bank has set a concrete calendar marker with December 3, 2026, as the upcoming Q4 reporting date.
