City National Bank has reopened its Palisades Village branch in Pacific Palisades, California, following its closure due to the devastating wildfires that swept through Los Angeles County in January 2025. The branch, which has served the community for over a decade, now offers personal and business banking services to local families and businesses as they continue to recover from the fires.
Lindsay Dunn, executive vice president and head of Personal & Business Banking, emphasized the branch's role in supporting clients who lost homes or businesses. The reopening includes special in-branch activities throughout October to help the community reconnect and celebrate the return of banking services. The 1,423-square-foot branch features private consultation rooms, an ATM, and three service desks, along with local artwork reflecting the community's resilience.
Following the wildfires, City National and its parent company, Royal Bank of Canada (RBC), donated $3 million to relief efforts. This supported food security, essential supplies, emergency shelter, and housing stability for affected families. The bank also offered a three-year mortgage and HELOC forbearance period for qualifying clients experiencing hardship.
Located at 15273 W. Sunset Blvd, the Palisades Village branch is open Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., with the ATM available 24 hours. City National Bank, founded in 1954, is the largest bank headquartered in Los Angeles with $100 billion in assets as of July 31, 2026.
