Cleveland Fed's Meder Announces Retirement After Three Decades of Service
Mark S. Meder, First Vice President and Chief Operating Officer at the Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland (Cleveland Fed), will retire next year. He has been with the institution for over 33 years, since 1993, when he joined in the Banking Supervision and Regulation Department.
Meder has held various leadership roles throughout his tenure, including serving as senior vice president and general auditor. As First Vice President, he oversees the Bank's operational and financial performance and is a member of the Discount Committee, which reviews District discount window lending.
He will continue in his role until March 31, 2027, and then serve as a senior advisor to the president during a transition period. A search for his successor has already begun, with President and CEO Beth Hammack chairing the committee.
