Conservatives Regroup on Parliament Hill Amid Infighting

The Conservative caucus is meeting on Parliament Hill for the first time this fall sitting, eager to regain momentum and have their attacks on the Liberals land.

Leader Pierre Poilievre hosted a dinner at Parlour restaurant in Ottawa's Wellington West neighborhood before the meeting, which drew about 25 people including Conservative MPs. The event was described as a forum for open political discussion and relationship-building, focusing on issues like immigration, gender identity, pro-natalist policies, and criminal justice.

However, former Alberta Premier Jason Kenney expressed concerns that Conservatives are more focused on appealing to Trump-friendly voters than confronting threats to Canada's economy and sovereignty. He accused MPs of lacking 'moral clarity' demonstrated by Saskatchewan Premier Scott Moe in standing up to US President Donald Trump.
