Copper Prices Stabilize Near $14,000 Amid Supply Relief
Copper prices held near $14,000 on Tuesday as traders assessed the impact of new deliveries on supply. Futures on the London Metal Exchange rose 0.6% to settle at $14,083.50 a metric ton.
The increase follows a sharp pullback from last week's record high when traders diverted supplies to the US in anticipation of tariffs on refined metal, leaving other regions with limited access to supply.
Traders are now weighing the possibility that the Federal Reserve will raise interest rates for the first time in three years, which could ease the supply squeeze and boost demand for copper.
