CSA Proposes Harmonized Exemptions for Investment Funds Repurchase Transactions
The Canadian Securities Administrators (CSA) has proposed amendments to investment fund repurchase transactions requirements.
The CSA is seeking comments on the proposed amendments, which would provide harmonized exemptions for reporting issuer investment funds from certain repurchase transactions requirements.
The proposed amendments aim to facilitate access to the Bank of Canada's Contingent Term Repo Facility (CTRF) and any future repurchase facilities provided by the Bank of Canada for liquidity management purposes.
The CSA is looking to codify the temporary exemptive relief provided by Coordinated Blanket Order 81-930 Exemptions from Certain Repurchase Transactions Requirements for Investment Funds.
