Cuba Dollar Surges to Highest Level in a Month
The value of the U.S. dollar continued its upward trend in Cuba's informal market, reaching its highest level in a month this Friday.
The dollar traded at 730 Cuban pesos (CUP) as of 10:00 a.m., marking a rise of five pesos from Thursday's 725 CUP.
This surge is part of an ongoing trend, with the dollar increasing by 27 pesos in just seven days and by 62 pesos compared to a month ago.
The euro also saw gains, trading at 832 CUP, while the MLC was valued at approximately 498 CUP.
