Cuban Black Market for Foreign Currency Closes with Dollar and Euro Steady
The Cuban black market for foreign currency closed on July 25 without significant fluctuations in key indicators. The US dollar remained stable at 674 Cuban pesos, unchanged from the previous day.
The euro also held steady at 785 Cuban pesos, with no change from the prior session. Despite short-term calm, the euro has seen a 2.6% increase over the week and a 4% rise in the past month.
The MLC (Freely Convertible Currency) is informally priced around 480 pesos, showing a slight uptick from the previous day. However, data on this currency is sparse, and its use is confined to state-run stores that accept it.
