Cuban Informal Currency Market Opens with Dollar Unchanged and Euro Drops
The informal currency market in Cuba has opened on Sunday with little change for the US dollar and a new drop for the euro. The dollar remains at 673 Cuban pesos (CUP), while the euro has decreased to 778 CUP.
Compared to 30 days ago, the dollar has gained 5 pesos, equivalent to 0.7%, but its stability is evident in the weekly comparison, where it remains unchanged since last Sunday at 673 CUP.
The euro, on the other hand, shows a different trend, having decreased by 4.5 pesos (-0.6%) compared to the previous day and 7.5 pesos (-1%) below its level seven days ago.
