Cuban Informal Market Sees Stable Dollar, Rising Euro
The informal market in Cuba closed on Tuesday, August 25, with a relatively calm outlook. The US dollar remained unchanged from the previous day, trading at 668 Cuban pesos (CUP), its highest level in recent weeks.
In contrast, the euro saw a slight increase to 755 CUP compared to Monday's rate of 753 CUP. The monthly range for the euro extends between a minimum of 746 and a maximum of 790 CUP.
The MLC (Moneda Libremente Convertible), which is used in state-run businesses, was set at approximately 472 CUP, although this value should be approached with caution due to the low volume of transactions recorded during this time period.
