The informal currency exchange market in Cuba wrapped up its day on September 30, 2026, with both the US dollar and euro experiencing significant increases. The US dollar concluded trading around 760 Cuban pesos (CUP), while the euro surged to approximately 865 CUP.
Compared to a week ago, the US dollar has climbed by 35 pesos, representing a 4.8% rise from its previous value of 725 CUP. Over the past month, the rate has risen by 82 pesos, although some of this increase may reflect methodological adjustments in the index.
The euro also reached its highest point in the last 30 days, with a floor of 765 CUP during this period. A 30-day comparison shows a 96 pesos increase, solidifying the euro's stronghold in Cuba's parallel market.
