The informal currency market in Cuba saw a mixed start to Monday, August 17, with some currencies increasing while others held steady.
The euro led the gains, rising by 2.5 pesos from Sunday's rate of 758 CUP to an average of 760 CUP, with buying at 750 and selling at 770 CUP.
This represents a 0.3% increase compared to the previous day. In contrast, the US dollar remained stable, showing no changes from the previous day's rate of 664 CUP.
The MLC currency saw the most significant gain, rising by approximately 18 pesos from the previous day's rate of 446 CUP to an average of 464 CUP, with buying at 441 and selling at 486 CUP. However, it is essential to note that today's figure is marked by low transaction volume, making it an indicative value.
