Currency Tech Demand Shifts from Dollar to Yen Amid Exchange Rate Uncertainty
The demand for currency technology is shifting from the US dollar to the Japanese yen due to the mixed exchange rate outlook. The won has remained in the 1,300 range per dollar, with predictions that it will be difficult for the dollar to rebound.
On the other hand, the demand to buy yen in advance is increasing rapidly as voices suggest that the yen price will gradually rise as the won price per yen has fallen to the 850 level.
The balance of dollar deposits at five major commercial banks dropped sharply by $7.19 billion from last month, while the balance of yen deposits rose by 47.8 billion yen.
